Guthrie Engineering established the Switchboard Factory in 1973 with technical expertise from Siemens AG, who assigned engineers to the Factory to work with local engineers, to produce Siemens-type switchgears. Since then, its operation has been fully localized, providing design, manufacture and metals fabrication services to assemble low and medium voltage switchgears/switchboards that meet stringent ‘international standards’ and local government agencies requirements, such as for the environment, port, and civil aviation.
The years of cooperation with Siemens AG has inculcate our operation with disciplined, dedicated and experienced engineering teams that could customize and build very detail engineering designs. Most of the craftsmen have been with the company for many years. We now build switchboards and switchgears from other brand name component sources to meet customers’ requirements.
Our technical cooperation has extended to other expertise. We have recently embarked on another cooperative venture in a new area, as a licensed assembler for the B & R (Australia) range of withdrawable type motor control center.
